Josh Hutcherson & Alexander Ludwig Dish On Finnick Odair Casting

The Hunger Games‘ Alexander Ludwig, Elizabeth Banks and Josh Hutcherson all attended MTV’s 2012 Movie Awards and were asked about the sequel. Questions regarding who should play Finnick Odair to Francis Lawrence taking over, they all had something to say. Alexander shared that Ryan Reynolds should be Finnick, while Elizabeth and Josh had no idea. For fans of the first movie, these interviews will be a must see.

I am glad to see that they all have strong opinions on the movie. It seems like they know what they want and how they want the sequel to be. Clearly Alexander doesn’t have much of a say, when you compare him to Elizabeth and Josh. Those two are returning and I would think that they would have more a say, even if they couldn’t name a guy to play Finnick. But it is nice that Alexander had a chance to share who he thought should win the role. I am sure he would love to return, but that is unlikely since I doubt they will cast him in a new role. That would be a no-no in more than one way to say at the least.
How do you like their comments? Did all three deserve to win? Yes, I think they certainly did deserve to win their awards. Alexander and Josh had some of the most intense scenes in the movie if you ask me. I mean, I found that scene much more upsetting than rest of the fight scenes. However, I am probably the only one who feels that way. As for the sequel, I am excited to see who plays what and to find out what we can expect from it. I do expect Francis will change the direction that Gary Ross directed the first movie in. Hence why he replaced Gary, even if they like deny that he was replaced.
