'Catching Fire' movie news: Casting Finnick Odair in 'Hunger Games' sequel

While it may not be a deadly tournament in which tributes must fight for their lives, the first round of “The Hunger Games” movie casting was certainly a tough competition.
Fans of Suzanne Collins’ bestselling “Hunger Games” trilogy may remember all the interest that went into finding actors to play as Peeta Mellark, Katniss Everdeen and Gale Hawthorne. While the three stars have of course been cast and will reprise their roles in the next big screen adaptation (Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth, respectively), there are other key players to consider now.

In recent “Catching Fire” news, the sequel is now looking to cast stars to play the new characters in the second movie, especially tributes Finnick Odair and Johanna Mason. In an interview this week with Hunter Parrish, the actor revealed his casting ideas for the next blockbuster hit film, as well as rumors on his interest in playing the handsome Finnick.
